Research

• Promote research into prevention, diagnosis and treatment of liver and gastrointestinal disorders
• Conduct research into optimal implementation of health interventions at the community level
• Improve the dissemination of new knowledge

Education

• Train medical students, residents and sub-specialty fellows with focus on prevention of liver and digestive diseases
• Provide hands-on training in key interventional skills
• Provide life-long continuing medical education

Patient Care

• Identify patients with liver and gastrointestinal disease
• Provide the highest quality patient-centered care regardless of socioeconomic status
• Engage community participation in health programs
